Q: Why is icore hosting the cheapest hosting provider compared to other local competitors? Does it mean that your hosting services are poor?
No, cheap price does not mean poor services. Our prices is the cheapest around because we believe that we can give the same services that are given by overseas hosting provider and it does not have to be expensive. With 24 hr human support and since we are based in nearby Kuala Lumpur and our data centre at Cyberjaya, this is good value for money.

Q: I have just signed up online for your hosting plan. So, what next?
After we have received your order, we will send u an invoice within 10 minutes - 24 hours, We will create your hosting account immediately and we will register your domain name after we receive your payment. The payment should be made within 7 days from the date you make an order. If your order with new domain registration, it will take about 24 - 72 hours become active.  

 

Q: How do I register my own domain name (.com,.net.,org,.info,.biz)?
First, you need to verify that the domain name that you are looking for is available by. If the domain name is listed as available, then you may proceed to register the domain name by filling up the online form. Once we have received your payment, we will immediately proceed with your domain name registration.

Q: Can you register my domain name and create my hosting account first and I'll pay later?
Sorry, we are only able to create your hosting account immediately but for domain registration we require your Payment first.

Q: Are there any hidden costs?
No. All costs are stated plainly on our website. We do not hide fees in fine print, or in our terms of service pages. The only costs that are commonly found to occur beyond your expected flat monthly rates per service, are those due to increased disk space or bandwidth usage. Pricing for such is plainly stated on our website. icore hosting very often will allow you to upgrade your packages to the next size up, should you see an increase in disk space levels or bandwidth usage for the current month, and not want to pay for such additional usage. Disk space usage and availability, as well as estimated bandwidth usage, is available to you in the majority of the control panel versions included with the hosting packages.

Q: Is there a trial period or money-back guarantee?
icore hosting offers a full 30 day money back guarantee. No questions asked.
If you are not happy for any reason, cancel your
icore hosting service within 30 days of signup and your full setup fee and monthly costs will be refunded. The only exception to a refund, is if you violate icore hosting Terms of Service (TOS) & new domain registration. Violations of the TOS usually are due to spamming, hacking, and illegal content.

Q: Is my access 24 hours a day?

Q: What is Direct admin?
Direct admin is a fully-featured web-based control panel that allows you to manage your domain through a web interface. The idea is to transfer as much of the control and responsibility of managing your web site to you. You have the ability to manage all aspects of email, files, backup, FTP, and web site statistics.

Q: How do I upload my files to my website?
The easiest way to do so is by using an FTP client software like WsFTP, CuteFTP AceFTP and many more. These programs allow you to easily copy files from your local harddisk to your website. Q: How do I set up my email?
icore web hosting clients can set up POP Accounts, Forwarders/Aliases, & Auto-Responders in the Web Browser Control Panel that comes with every icore web hosting package. This can be done by yourself, and without any assistance from the icore hosting staff.

Q: How much assistance do you provide for my website?
icore hosting will assist you with all support for services provided directly thru icore hosting. icore hosting will help you with basic settings for your email software and ftp client, as well as assist you with using the web browser control panel. icore hosting is not responsible for teaching you how to use another company's products. Example: icore hosting will assist you with the settings for using MS FrontPage? but we will not teach you how to actually use the product itself. You need to contact the software maker in such a situation, who provides tech support for how to use their product. icore hosting cannot even attempt to support all the thousands of software products on the market.
icore hosting will attempt to provide some tech support for the most popular programs our clients use. icore hosting is not responsible for assisting with your own programs and cgi/php scripts. If you choose to install your own programs and cgi/php scripts on your site, you are responsible fully for installing them. icore hosting will provide support for any program or cgi/php script that we provide pre-installed with your web hosting package. icore hosting is not responsible for designing, nor developing, your website, including HTML and/or images. icore hosting will attempt to give a quick look at your design/development problem, and offer a suggestion if it is a small issue. Anything complicated relating to design/development is not the responsibility of icore hosting.

We only use high quality Intel Base servers & branded hardware.

Q: How often do you backup our data and contents, daily/weekly or monthly?
We backup your data and contents on daily/weekly and monthly basis. To ensure your data is more secure with us, your last saved data is saved at a separate location so that it can be retrieved in case you lose you data. This backup is not included in your web space allocation and it is a free service provided by
icore hosting.

The daily backups keep overwriting the previous day backup.. which means your average cPanel web host will NOT be able to restore files from 2 days ago. Just ask your current host to recover an email you have deleted 2 days ago, see if they can do it.

Q: What kind of network or lines are you all on?
We do not host our servers in regular office buildings because this is not the way web servers should be hosted in.

Yes, you can add MS FrontPage Extensions free of charge once you sign up for an account.

Q: Can I access my domain name with and without the www?
Yes, you will be able to access your domain name with or without the www. Many Web hosting providers now provide this capability. For example, you can access your domain name by going to "www.yourdomain.com" or "yourdomain.com".
 

 

Q: Ok, I'm convinced, how do I transfer my domain name to icore hosting without experiencing any downtime?
To avoid downtime, please follow these procedures:
1) Sign up for a Web hosting account using our online order form. Once your account is setup, you will receive an e-mail from us with your FTP login information.
Next, upload all of your files to our Web server.


2) After you're done uploading your files, contact your domain name registrar and have your domain name pointed to our DNS numbers indicated in email.

 

3) Now, be patient. It will take about 48-72 hours for your registrar to update their DNS (the amount of actual time varies by registrar). Once it's updated, your domain name will point to your new website that is hosted on icore hosting servers automatically.


4) If you use e-mail associated with the domain name, we recommend you check mail at both locations (with your previous hosting company and on our mail server). Once you confirm that all e-mail settings and your website are properly pointed to
icore hosting, go ahead and cancel your account with your previous hosting company.
