  •   Why is iCore Technology the cheapest hosting provider compared to other local competitors? Does it mean that your hosting services are poor?

    No, cheap prices do not necessary means poor services. We believe that we can provide the same quality services that are provided by other hosting providers and it does not have to be expensive. Together with our 24/7 customer support provided by our professional support team, we ensures that our services are definitely good value for money.

  •   I have just signed up online for your hosting plan. So, what's next?

    After we had received your order, we will send you an invoice within 10 minutes ~ 24 hours. After the payment is made, we will then create your hosting account immediately as well as register your chosen domain name. The payment should be made within 7 days from the date you place the order. If your order includes domain name registration, it would take approximately 24 - 72 hours before it became active.

  •   How do I register my own domain name (.com,.net.,org,.info,.biz)?

    First, you need to verify that the domain name you chosen is still available for registration. If the domain name is listed as available, then you may proceed to register the domain name with us by filling up the online form. Once we had received your payment, we will immediately proceed with your chosen domain name registration.

  •   Can you register my domain name and create my hosting account first and I'll pay later?

    Sorry, we are only able to register your domain name after we had received your payment. However, we are able to create your hosting account prior to your payment.

  •   How do I pay?

    We accept most of the major way of payment, i.e. bank transfer, POS Malaysia or e-payment via PayPal or MOLPal.
    After payment is made, kindly inform us about your payment by filling our payment notification form at http://www.icore.com.my/payment and submit to us together with a copy of your transaction receipt.

  •   Are there any hidden costs?

    No. All costs are stated clearly on our website. We do not hide fees in fine print, or in our terms of service pages. The only cost that are commonly found to occur beyond your expected fixed monthly/annual rates as per service, are those due to exceeding disk space or bandwidth usage. Pricing for such is also stated in details on our website.

  •   Is there a trial period or money-back guarantee?

    iCore Technology offers a full 30-day money back guarantee. No questions asked. 

    If you are not happy for any reason, cancel your hosting service with us within 30 days of signup and your full setup fees and monthly costs will be refunded. The only exception to a refund cases is that if you violate iCore Technology Terms of Service (TOS). Violations of our TOS usually are due to spamming, hacking, and illegal activities or contents. Refund will not be given to those who violates our TOS.

  •   How long do I need to wait before I can receive my refund?

    We will be processing customer's refunds during the first week of every month. So which means, if you request refund at second week of the month, you will need to wait until next month before your refund request is being processed.

  •   Is my access 24 hours a day?

    Yes. You will have access to your account 24 hours a day.

  •   What is DirectAdmin?

    DirectAdmin is a full-featured web-based control panel that allows you to manage your domain through a web interface. The idea is to give as much of the control and responsibility of managing your web site to you. You can manage your website in every aspect, such as email accounts, files, backups, FTP, and web site statistics.

  •   How do I upload my files to my website?

    The easiest way to do so is by using FTP client software like WsFTP, CuteFTP AceFTP and many more. These programs allow you to easily copy files from your local harddisk to your website. Besides, you could also upload files by using DirectAdmin file manager feature, which can be done without any third party software involved.

  •   How do I set up my email?

    You can set up POP Accounts, Forwarders/Aliases, & Auto-Responders in DirectAdmin control panel that comes with every web hosting package by iCore Technology This can all be done easily by yourself. Of course, if you ever need assistance in setting up your email, we would love to assist you.

  •   To what extent of support can your support team provides?

    iCore Technology provides you with all support for the services provided by us. We will help you with basic settings for your email software and FTP clients, as well as assist you with using the DirectAdmin control panel. However, we do not responsible for supporting software supplied by other company, for example, MS FrontPage. In such case, you should directly contact the software manufacturer who could provide you more in-depth technical support of how to use their product. A special case here is that we would do our best to provide some basic support for our ECShop and Discuz package clients, such as how-to guides and basic troubleshooting. We do not responsible for troubleshooting with your own programs and CGI/PHP scripts. If you had installed your own programs or CGI/PHP scripts on your website, you are fully responsible for maintaining them. We only be responsible for supporting programs or CGI/PHP script that are pre-installed with the web hosting package. iCore Technology is not responsible for designing/developing/maintaining of your website, unless you are on a package bundled with website designs and development, such as Company Website package, which our support would then follows the particular support stated for the package.

  •   What type of servers do you all use?

    We only use high quality Intel-based servers & branded hardware.

  •   How often do you backup our data and contents, daily/weekly or monthly?

    We backup your data and contents on daily/weekly and monthly basis. The monthly/weekly backups are configured to auto overwriting the previous month/week backup, which means you will not be able to restore to data 2 months/weeks ago. As for daily backups, we will keep your backup files for up to 3 days, which means the forth day's backup data will overwrite the first day's backup. Please take note that the backup file is not calculated in your disk space allocation and it is a free service provided by iCore Technology

  •   How long and how many personal backup I can keep in DirectAdmin?

    The monthly/weekly backups are configured to auto overwriting the previous month/week backup, which means your backup data is kept for up to 1 month time. As for daily backups, we will keep your backup files for up to 3 days, which means the forth day's backup data will overwrite the first day's backup. Please take note that the backup file is not calculated in your disk space allocation and it is a free service provided by iCore Technology We also recommend client to download your backup into your personal computer if it is important. Please go to your DirectAdmin > File Manager > Backups > Click on the backup name to download it.

  •   Which Data Center do you (iCore Technology) host your servers?

    We host our servers at 3 Data Center within Malaysia.

  •   Do you support MS FrontPage Extensions?

    Yes, you can add MS FrontPage Extensions free of charge once you sign up for an account.

  •   Can I access my domain name with and without the www?

    Yes, you will be able to access your domain name with or without the www. Many Web hosting providers now provide this capability. For example, you can access your domain name by going to "www.yourdomain.com" or "yourdomain.com".

  •   Ok, I'm convinced. How do I transfer my domain name to iCore Technology without experiencing any downtime?

    To avoid downtime, please follow these procedures: 

    1. Sign up for a Web hosting account using our online order form. Once your account is setup, you will receive an e-mail from us with your FTP login information. Next, upload all of your files to our Web server.
    2. After you're done uploading your files, contact your domain name registrar and have your domain name pointed to our DNS numbers indicated in email.
    3. Now, be patient. It will take about 48-72 hours for your registrar to update their DNS (the amount of actual time varies by registrar). Once it's updated, your domain name will point to your new website that is hosted on icore hosting servers automatically.
    4. If you use e-mail associated with the domain name, we recommend you check mail at both locations (with your previous hosting company and on our mail server). Once you confirm that all e-mail settings and your website are properly pointed to icore hosting, go ahead and cancel your account with your previous hosting company.
  •   How do I change my POP email password in webmail?

    Due to security concern, we do not provide the functionality to change email password inside webmail. However, you can still change your email password by visiting this link :

  •   Does iCore Technology allow create CGI forum?

    Absolutely NO.

  •   Does iCore Technology allow adult, warez or other illicit sites or content?

    Absolutely NO.

  •   Does iCore Technology allow Eggdrop, BNC, psyBNC, IRCD etc?

    Absolutely NO.

  •   Does iCore Technology allow install Discuz Forum Pets game system?

    Absolutely NO, we had tested and confirm discuz pet game system having some heavy server resource usage.

  •   Does iCore Technology allow install chat rooms?

    We do not allow clients to install any kind of chat room programs in shared hosting packages as this kind of system will heavily impact the server's performance.

  •   Why is my account suspended without early notice?

    We will temporarily suspend client's hosting account if the account is :

    • having abnormal activity;
    • heavily impacting server due to bad scripting or incorrect script;
    • spamming email;
    • hosting of porn contents;
    • hosting of illegal contents or activity in regards of local laws and regulations;
    • hosting of unauthorized copyrighted text, images, music, videos, movies, programs, etc.

    Upon account suspension, we will notify client regarding the issue via e-mail. Client is then required to take proper action to rectify the issue. Once we verify that the issue had been resolve, we will re-activate client's hosting account within 24 hours upon request.

  •   What if my site breaks your "acceptable usage policy" rules?

    Users' sites may be suspended for violations of policy, or if extreme, or second time offenders, service may be cancelled. Each occurrence is dealt with on a case by case basis, and we try to work things out with every client. Notifications will be sent via e-mail, whenever we need to take any action towards your hosting account.

    On the first account suspension, email will sent to client and wait for client to contact us. Upon receiving client's acknowledgment regarding the issue, we will re-active the hosting account within 24 hours.

    On the second account suspension, email will sent to client and wait for client to contact us. Upon receiving client's acknowledgment regarding the issue, we will re-active the hosting account within 48 hours.

    On the third account suspension, email will sent to client and wait for client to contact us. Upon receiving client's acknowledgment regarding the issue, we will re-active the hosting account within 1 week.

    If in the case that we still notice the same issue happening in client's account for the forth time, the hosting account will permanently terminated and no refund will be given.
